I've made bags before,my everyday/everywhere bag is made from my old jeans much to the despair of my Mum, she's got me a new bag at Xmas for the past 3 years hoping I'll get rid of my denim one  Shocked I will one day - and replace with a new denim bag  Wink
Baskets could be useful. I'm not very good at patchwork,my seams never seem to match up.

mellybelly, the sleeping bag is adorable!

Thanks for the kind words, everyone. I'm going to try to write up a pattern for the Red Vines mitts soon.

I am making a quilt using denim for the back and scraps for the front--it is a long term project, but I am hoping to have it done by summer so we can use it for lawn concerts!

I am loosely using the tutorial by blondegirl...she made two that were wonderful!

I had to stop because, are you sitting?---I RAN OUT OF DENIM! Cheesy

I have at least a box worth of pants that I bought a long time ago to make a picnic blanket out of. I got two small ones made for my kids and then lost all desire to work with denim again. They were rag blankets and made a huge mess of my apartment and my machine as well as killed a few pair of scissors.

So if you want some denim, I could probably go dig some out of storage.

thanks for the kind words about the sleeping bag, I was so happy with it. It was really easy, the tutorial I used was really simple and clear.

Those hightops are fab! Brady is too old for booties now he's almost walking. Sad

alwaysinmy room - what was the tutorial you use for the denim backed quilt? I have a bunch or jeans that could possibly have a home now.... I've been trying to figure out what to do with them.

Looking for teal/turquoise/aqua, grey and white (or a combo) fabric for a quilt.

So far, I have not had any issues...I am using my heavy duty Kennmore and I have about 20 squares so far...I did find another pile of jeans in the closet...this is not my usual style, but I figured the denim would hold up outside!

I want to cut them up even if I don't use them so I won't grow back into them...Grin

I have to confess again, I had to buy stuff for my latest swap. I have managed to destash a little, for a different item, but not enough  Sad

On the other hand I hope to be able to use most of what I bought up on the swap, so it may not stay in stash for very long.
