Wow! A week away and there's 49pages! Just been catching up on people's creations, I love the crocheted fan bookmark, I made that once before it's so simple but beautiful. I've not finished my shawl still because I've had a whiplash injury to my left shoulder and I'm a left hander - typical!! Work have signed me off because I'm basically useless as a nurse in intensive care if I can't even lift a bowl of water or bag of fluids! But I'm going to try as I may to start crocheting again. For Feb I plan on making a green/black/yellow scarf for my aunties birthday (which is on sunday ARGH!) Something red and possibly polka dotted for me, maybe a bag, I adore polka dots.

Happiness is the key to success, success is not the key to happiness. If you love what you're doing you will be happy.

What a wonderful addition to you stash. I'm just a little jealous of that.

Most of my stash is yarn. I'm not the fastest crocheter on the block. But it will all get used "someday". hahaha

Still working on those headband/earwarmer thingies. Don't know the right name. I've had family down from Minnesota this week so I haven't been crafting too much.

I think we all know the feeling of the overwhelming stash - but maybe we should make ourself remember: we own the stash, the stash doesn't own us. We can throw it all out, if it is that we want. It may help us to see it as a treasure, a bunch of opportunities, instead of a burden. Because it is a good thing, we have all that - it is much better than having nothing.

My partner for the One Tiny Doctor Who Thing swap received, so I can post pictures.  Both of these were made of stash materials.

I love the wee Dr Who things. K9 is so detailed.

I've made a resolution (I know, I know, it's February already, why can't I do stuff on time?) It helps me deal with my stash:
No saving for best.
If it's right for the current project, or even good enough then I should use it. So I use up my stash and try to reduce it's size, or at least achieve rotation.

Look twice, buy once. Nooooo
Look twice, decide I can make one instead.

Yea I finally made some things from stash. (It didn't use up a lot of stash, but hey it used some.) The only thing I bought was the pattern (Darling Daisy Dolls by Alison Berry.)

I even managed to do some of the challenges: polka dots, for a loved one, and the stash I have the most of (I think it's fabric though to be honest I'm not really sure).

Anyway, I made these baby dolls for my baby girl due in April and for my hopefully niece due in August. (If it turns out I get a nephew instead I'll just have to find someone else to give the doll to.)

What cute dolls, meleriffic! Your baby girl and hopefully niece are going to love them.

Kook, i love that hoop. The curlers look great. Sometimes i wish my hair was longer because i miss unrolling hair curlers in the morning.

MeganCrafts, i've been avoiding that gallery because every time i don't join a Doctor Who swap, i stalk the gallery and kick myself for not joining. I love anything with a TARDIS on it. And i adore K9! Your K9 looks amazing! So well done.

I just sent off for a swap today, so i will be taking a tiny break and making whatever the h i want to! Cheesy
Except i do need to finish the felt beards i'm making for a friend's daughter's 2nd birthday party. (It's a gnome party.) The mustaches and beards are being made from stash felt, so i'll be posting them soon.

Wow, such awesome destashing projects! Cheesy

Those dolls are so cute, and the Dr. Who clutch is very nifty!

I've started to organize my fabric stash - yes, I know it was a January task, but I just got the cardboard inserts I wanted to use ... I have more than I thought I did.  I definitely don't need to go to the fabric store for anything.  Ever.
