plaid, those are cute underwear. I tried making underwear out of a t-shirt once, but I tried hand-sewing, and it didn't work too well. If I had a decent sewing machine, I'd love to try it again!

I started a striped scarf tonight as a stash buster. I really need to use up as much yarn as I can before I worry about de-stashing the other stuff, because it's taking up the most space in my room right now. I envy those of you lucky enough to have a craft room!

The knickers look great (although being British I really want to call them pants!). Did you use a pattern for them, or did you trace them from your own?

Im british and I tend to favour knickers for girls and pants for boys  Cheesy I'm well underway with my january challenge. I've made myself a crochet hook roll with crocodile stitch with a ball of DK I'd bought specifically for a wreath that I ended up throwing in the bin in a fit of rage. I made an outfit for my friends baby girl who is due in 4 weeks the leggings and hat are white but I'll show the other pieces too and the last thing is a striped blanket I've been working on for 3 months for another friends baby.

Ah, in my head: knickers have lace, pants don't. Thus boys nearly always have pants, but girls can have pants too.

As an Aussie we tend to use knickers for girls and jocks for boys, or generically undies. Smiley

You're all putting me to shame! I haven't even cleared out all of the Xmas mess yet, let alone gotten over to the studio. Sigh.
I make undies from tshirts too, there's a box of pieces cut out and ready to stitch that's been waiting for my attention for nearly 5 years now, lol. They are SUCH a pain in the butt to sew!
Panties for girls, undies for boys, shorts or underwear if you're a grown man in Canadian speak Smiley.

The industrial economy is a growth economy- never enough and never satisfied-
whereas the craft economy is a dancing economy- always active and always joyful.

Hahaha, I love learning all the different words for the same objects. They are underwear for me regardless if they are for boy or girls. I never say panties, always underwear (I'm in the U.S). I never thought about trying to make my own for me, but I have tried making some for some of my dolls and have failed so far XD

At my job I always call them underpants; I do massage and I want it to sound completely non-sexy when I tell people they can keep their underwear on or off. But out of work I just say panties for women and underwear for men.
