I have a terrible addiction to the upholstry remnant table at my local fabric store...

There's nothing terrible about it  Wink They're always such lovely pieces they have to be rescued from the remnant bin  Grin

Started last night, darned ends in whilst having a cuppa this morning before hubby went to work. I love this ribbon yarn but wouldn't want to do a big project with it. I was given two skeins by a mate, one is lost in Yarnia so the headband isn't quite as wide as I would have liked but the bonus is there was absolutely no waste  Cheesy

All you crocheters make me so jealous!  I ~love~ crochet.  My grandmother tried to teach me as a child.  I learned how to make really long strings...That skill set (really long strings) is with me to this day.  I have had umpteen people attempt to teach me to add a line to those RLS, but with no luck.

I bought a new practice loom. I definitely need practice. So this is not white or striped and the only way you can say it is for me is if you count the skills I am learning. The scarf is not what I expected. I used a 10 dent heddle and I probably should have used every other hole. The tweedy look does look interesting where it is tighter.

I may be destashing yarn for awhile.

Loving the headband(s?) KooKaloo_Star. Oh and I love your avatar. I want to do that so much, have since I went with my mom when I could not have been more than 7 or 8. The belly dance bug bit me early and still has not let go.

ysmeine, wow, love the cat bed! Wish my cat would stay in one instead of finding a new place to sleep each day. Wink

Destash #1 - pillow covers
I bought one fat quarter purposely for this, but the other one, trim and backing fabric all came from leftovers of other quilts Smiley
throw pillow covers are sort of addictive - my husband gave me a worried look when I said I wanted to do more.  I just wish the inserts weren't so pricey

I really love the fabric you chose for both of them! As for the inserts, I don't know what you have available in your hometown, but our thrift stores sell old throw pillows really cheap that are probably those size. I've been thinking about buying some and making some spiffy covers for them.

I finally finished my patchwork curtains! It's so lovely to actually have something in my windows to keep my living room private now! I'll see if I can't get pictures soon and upload them (it's rainy today so I'll have to wait until the sun comes out!)

Next project is a twin-sized patchwork quilt made of scrap fabric for the bed I'll be getting my son soon, and then some wristwarmers (crochet) for my mother, who has declared that she is IN LOVE with the ones I made my sister for Christmas.

If you have to pop off to the store to buy the right size knitting needles, does that count as destashing? It's getting more supplies, not more materials.
I wanted to make the Tychus hat for my husband and start today. He picked gross colors, though. Buff and gold. That doesn't sound bad but it really is. Like buff and 70's gold. If I go I'm afraid I'll buy him the colors he originally wanted, black and blue.
What to do?

Thanks spiffy - I adore Lizzy House fabrics.  I think buying pillows at the thrift store would be an allergy issue at our house, but Michaels and Joanns have them, so I just have to be patient and used coupons, not get excited and go buy them immediately:P
