June Themes

thread and needle #1 by mr.beaver, on Flickr

Color: Rainbow
Pattern: Animals. And it doesn't have to be animal print unless you want to interpret it that way, or if you have lots of zebra print spandex lurking in your stash.
For: Kiddos – yours or someone elses', or simply the young at heart.
Challenge: Six month mark. Time to re-organize, take stock, and make plans for the second half of the year.

ok--this is what I consider cheating at destashing:  ha ha I received some wonderful crafting magazines from craftylittlemonkey yesterday!  At least most of the projects were to help me destash my yarns, fabrics and other supplies...but, it was sneaky to pass on your collection and take the credit for destashing by adding to my stash... Cheesy

I destashed a trashbag worth of hard to work with fabrics and scraps (most of which had been used in costumes) to the art camp my husband works at during the summer.

I also destashed some flannel scraps to try my hand at knitting a rag rug.  I'm not super impressed with the final result.  I should have made it longer, and I pulled it too tight trying to bind off, but, it was destined to go to the cat anyway.
Watch... he sat on it while it was on the table when I worked on it... now that knitting needles aren't attached... he probably won't be interested.

That's ok, if he doesn't like it, tell him you will send it to the shelter. Wink

I totally meant it to help you with destashing! LOL.
And uh-oh, that's how I get rid of most of my extra crafting stuff. Don't tell me that doesn't count! Ha ha, I send SO many boxes of supplies out to friends. The post office even offered me a business account so I'd get a mailing discount!
