Congrats, scrappysue! Best wishes for the happy family!
Beth, I love the coral reef hoop and the gorgeous jewelry set!

I haven't been too crafty this week. I've been decompressing after a huge project for my church's 30th anniversary involving hundreds of photos. But I was able to destash some scrapbook paper in the process. Smiley

beth, i know some people who would love that panda cross stitch.
That's a really special wedding present. I would love opening something like that.
The jewelry set for your aunt is beautiful.
And the undersea hoop... holy wow! That is beyond incredible!

This basket was made from leftovers from my other basket, so I guess it is destashing.

I also recently made a hello kitty duct tape pouch for my son's nook and a beer bottle cozy to gift someone some homebrew. I will have to get pictures later.

I made some baby items all from stash.

A receiving blanket, a taggie blanket, and a bunny hat.

Mel--aren't you due soon?  I bet you can't wait to have the baby out! Cheesy

Such cute baby things you have been making...I am sure it will put a cramp in your crafting for a while, but please be sure to show off some action shots of your new baby with the things you made! Cheesy

I destashed my baking cupboard today, does that count? I didn't buy anything specifically, just cleared my fridge and cupboard. The little cakes will half be coming to work with me tonight (I'm a nurse) and half be going to the hospice at the hospital I work at because Tom's grampy is in there and I'm going to visit on my way to work and the big ones are for Tom himself because he's a gannet and then I split the biscuits into three too.

The loaves are my tried and tested banana loaves, the round cakes are an experiment I hope worked, I substituted half my butter for chocolate philidelphia in a regular sponge recipe and then the biscuits are made with left over flour sugar and butter and are just plain, I was going to ice them but it's quite warm today and I think they'd get all sticky and messy. I have a wee bit of butter and flour left over so I may make a rue tomorrow and perhaps a tuna cheesy pasta bake, I'm scraping the barrel now it's still two weeks until pay day!

Oh and there was a second batch of biscuits in the oven when this photo was taken.
Enjoy

mmm, yum. I made a cake last week to celebrate having a fridge again but no money for food. Its interesting what you can squeeze out of an empty pantry.

Mel- the baby stuff looks great. I wish I had the skills I have now when my daughter was born. We couldn't afford clothes so I cut up my maternity clothes to make outfits for her. Curtains became bonnets and I sewed eyelet that someone gave me onto dingy white baby t's that were almost as old as me. I'm not in a hurry to be a grandmother but I am seriously thinking of starting a hope chest with baby stuff for her.

They look good! They also look like they would store well--like maybe freeze a loaf or two?

I have been wanting to make the English muffin bread on the cooking thread...maybe that will be a weekend cooking chore!

In Pennsylvania, there is a tradition of trying to make interesting meals from whatever is left in the cupboards and fridge...I am sure that is where chicken and waffles came from...or shepherd's pie...it makes me very aware of how much food goes to waste in the US...my hubby and I try our best to use up leftovers..yes, it is very interesting what can be made when you have to...

Ysmeine--there is something special about making do...it does make you creative...I am always reminded of that Dolly Parton song about her patches coat...one of my favorite dresses when I was a child was a dress my mom made from one of her old dresses...I swear I never even knew we were poor! I just thought the dress was beautiful!
