Star-shaped Clutch/Purse Help?

So, I saw this clutch/purse:

I need it in my life! Mainly because it looks exactly like an origami star that I'd make.
But not in that price range...Plus, it's apparently too small for an iphone.  If that's the case, my bb wouldn't fit either.

Does anyone have any idea of how I could somehow craft something like this? I like how it's stiff.
I almost want to fold an origami star that'd be the right size, but the closure and sturdiness issues, I don't know how I'd deal with that. D:  Maybe I should fold one to the right size to make a pattern off of it?
I've sewn before as well.

It's stiff because it has a custom purse frame holding it together. I'm guessing you will not be able to find one retail, anywhere. My first shot, therefore, would be to cut out two star shapes in fabric (plus some sturdy interfacing and lining) with relatively short points, and round the point corners. Then build a gusset with a zipper, and tabs to hold a strap of some kind. Sew them all together.

good answer above. Its hard to get that solid structure without a frame but careful choice of interfacing will help. You could also experiment with some light weight polyester corsetry boning for the pints of the stars. Its easy to sew through

My first thought was those kids' needle craft kits.  They often have plastic mesh in star shapes, which could help to give you a stiff star.
