A while ago I added a post to the Cinci Store thread about a Cinci COC. I had to move and get a new job and all that junk so I kind of disappeared. Is there anyone out there who would be interested in getting together?

Forgive my ignorance--I'm new. What's the Church of Craft?

Dati,

Here is the mission statement from the COC cut and pasted right from the website:

The Church of Craft aims to create an environment where any and all acts of making have value to our humanness. When we find moments of creation in our everyday activities, we also find simple satisfaction. The power of creating gives us the confidence to live our lives with all the love we can. By promoting creativity, we offer access to a non-denominational spiritual practice that is self-determined and proactive.

The Church of Craft maintains no dogma or doctrine beyond what every member believes for themselves.

Thanks, gaffagirl1. Sounds interesting--I'd like to hear more about forming in Cincinnati.

Probably about a year ago I met up with a girl named Amy from the getcrafty/glitter board and we started our own stitch and bitch. We had at least 1 other person who came a few times but we were pretty unorganized and Amy was in college so we really only met a few times for actual crafting.  We met up at The Buzz coffee house which was perfect for crafts.  But The Buzz has closed down and Amy moved to Atlanta. So right now I just need to find new members and a new place to meet...

I'm definitely interested but would need to meet somewhere on the northern side of Cincinnati since I live in Dayton. I'd prefer to meet on a weekend, if possible. Let me know if anything pans out.

Thanks!

I had hoped to meet up one of the times, but the weekends tend to be busy for me.

Keep me posted and depending on the day, I might be interested!

The only time I can get together on a weekend would be after 6 on Sundays.

Don't plan just on my preferences. I'll try to make it when I can if you let me know when and where.

Thanks!
