We've got a couple rolls of reed fencing for our small backyard (we live in a townhouse apartment).  I'd love to put it up myself as a surprise for my spouse, but am not sure how to go about it.  There's a plank fence already up-- this is to cover up that fence and give us a little more privacy, since the original is older and has a lot of gaps and knot-holes.  Do I need to use nails, twine, staples, or...?

TIA!   Grin

You could definitely use staples, if they're long enough and own the fence.  (If you don't own the fence, the person who does might get a bit irked.)  Personally, I'd use twine, so I could remove it if necessary, if it's not yours.  If it IS yours, staple gun!

Thanks for the reply, @kaz814.  This question turned out to be redundant-- he snuck out there and put them up himself!  He did use fasteners that went into the wood, much like a staple gun.  I can only assume he OK'd it with management, as we're really careful about that sort of thing.  Thanks again!  Grin
