Steampunk Crow

Hello:)

I'm a newbie and I hope I'm posting this in the right place. Here is a picture of a Steampunk Crow I made from a Frowning Francis pattern. He was for a doll club challenge at Cloth Doll Artistry.

His body is painted muslin and the rest of his embellishments are from things I had in my stash of stuff.

I love it!  I have to admit, I was curious, so I looked up the Frowning Francis pattern .... and I have to say that I like your crow much better

Spectacular!  I love that it's not overly gew-gawed up with gears and watch parts and mechanical replacement body parts -- there is so much detail and fine craftsmanship here, it's a pleasure to be able to take it all in. And echoing nicolelynn, I, too, looked up Frowning Francis and I, too, like your take better!

This looks like a fairly intensive process...would you mind describing it a bit?  This and the other patterns on the Frowning F site look to involve quite a bit of "sculpting" along with the painting of fabric to achieve facial and other details.
