I was inspired by knickertwist's Stinkin' Cute Faerie Specimens and knew I just had to have some for the tree stump house I am making, however, mine needed to be smaller to fit with the scale of my tree stump house

the mushrooms and base were sculpted from paperclay the greenery was made with masking tape and wire

house and tree are carved from a matchstick and the base paperclay

The tallest is just a hair over 3/4 inch the smaller one is a scant 5/8 inch

I made them using empty gel caps- I found mine in the target dollar spot as grow your own animals

I carefully twisted the gel cap apart and then carefully twisted the sponge animal out, twisting works, be careful not to put too much pressure on the gel cap as you can crush it-

since the gel caps dissolve in water take care when using these- make sure your paint is thoroughly dry- use glue sparingly on  the gel cap to avoid dissolving the gel caps
I made some more cloche's

house and topiary- house and tree carved from match stick painted with acrylic paints topiary sculpted from paper clay

sculpted from paper clay

my favorite sculpted from paperclay and painted with acrylic paints

I like Kit-Kat, unless I'm with 4 or more people.
