So my mum has made each of my younger sisters personalised quilts, and surprisingly being the eldest I've had to wait longest for mine, but oh how it's been worth it. It was the best Xmas present ever, I've put a few close up pics in as well. It's the size of a double bed, all pieced together and quilted.

Me in Celebration

Most of it in one pic

Square close up one

My favourite square, the middle bit is a cross stitched Humphrey wedding theme with the date of mine and my husbands wedding and then my mum has themed all the fabrics around it to us.

Can't wait to show my mum what you all think, C&C welcome Smiley

I love it!!  I've recently been bitten by the quilting bug and I know how much blood, sweat, tears and love go into each one and she did such a wonderful job!!  Something you can really treasure for a lifetime!

Wow, that is a work of love! I really like the way she combined so many different patterns to look good together. What a great gift!

Thanks for all the comments, pretty much all the fabrics have some meaning, the blue and green tartan is the Gordon tartan, my maiden name, the gold diamond fabric that runs through the in-between bits of the squares I had my eye on to steal for quite a while but I was so happy it turned up in this! The multi coloured squares mum did so I could add dates and other bits further down the road if I wanted too. Got to love mum's!

What a beautiful exuberant quilt! I love super scrappy quilts. The way she personalized all the fabrics for you and your husband is wonderful. Smiley
