I've been doing the Wee House Craftalong started by Knitckertwist, and I've fallen in love with wee houses! Here's my first completed house! It was a Christmas gift for my six-year-old step-daughter, Ophelia.

The baby is sleeping soundly in the nursery...

...while Papa relaxes in the living room...

...waiting to eat the delicious cookies Mama is baking.

And here's the little family ready to meet Ms. Ophelia!

She loves it! And the best thing about it is that we can make stuff together to add to it. I purposefully left the interior simple so she could personalize it. We have already made a little nest with eggs for the birds you see on the roof.  We also added some lady bugs and little red and white mushrooms. It's adorable, and I'm so pleased with how it turned out.  Smiley

Questions and comments are most welcome!

I'm definitely open to personal swaps--pm me!

SO Awesome! I can't even show this to my daughter, she'll be all over me to finish our house and Give It To Her (no way man, first house is MINE ha!).

The bad news: There is no key to happiness.
The good news: It isn't locked.

Wow! That is so sweet, and so detailed. What a fun project... I wish my girls were still into this kind of thing, but all 5 of them are "too grown up."

I've never been lost, but I will admit to being confused for several weeks.

It's absolutely charming. If I were Ophelia, I would think I had the best stepmum in the world!

Oh wow, this is awesome. Love the tiny kitchen with the dough and cutters. Wow, what scale!
