I saw this on play at home mom blog, and thought it was really cool, so I made my own!

Its a light box we can use for homeschool activities, and arts and crafts for tracing and whatnot.  It also looks pretty neat.

It was very easy to make, its just a plastic box lined with foil and filled with christmas lights I got on sale, The lid of the box is lined with parchment paper to spread out the light.   It cost maybe $7 to make, much cheaper than buying a $75 light box!

What a great idea! Much nicer than my method of taping things all over the south facing windows. =\

Oh gosh! It's a hit myself in the head with the palm of my hand. What a great idea with so many possibilities and so much easier than tracing on a window on a sunny day. Leighi123, Thank you so much for sharing. I'm sure you'll have hours of enjoyment from your light box.

Fantastic! I had been propping up a glass cutting board, with my swing-arm desk lamp behind it, bent down really low. I like your solution much better. Christmas lights - what a great idea.
