Kookie... I searched the entire book last night and can't figure out what does the DK mean in "DK yarn?"

Nice leaf, Kookie! It looks like you have mastered the photo layout thing !
For me, it's like a whole new world. Since my sleep clock is off, I think I'll get my hooks and yarn back out!

I love the leaves...I think there are so many possibilities...I might try a few with wool and see how they felt...

I loved your photo tute!..I am going to try to do better pics...I have all sorts of photo shop software but I just have not played around with it...they do enhance the project!

Always, I've seen felted fig leaves on Ravelry and they looked good so I don't think you'll have any problem with them.
I'm not sure what I'm doing with my leaves yet but I would like some kind of vine to wrap around the pillars on my fireplace, I might just end up with a vine of miscellaneous leaves  Grin

My tiny size O (2.mm) DPN's came today! I knit up a test swatch using one 10 yd. skein of that craft thread. ( It is equal to size 10 cotton, only softer) The gauge results are:
a 2.5x2.25" square
25 stitches = 2.50 inches (6.5mm)
12 rows =1 inch (2.5mm)
It worked up to a nice even knit, not too tight, not too loose. I think a bit of crewel embroidery wool -a single strand only of the 3-ply type- is next up for testing!

Now for the blunders... Last night gave it a go on the #8 Double Daisy, and failed!
I was using regular size 2 needles, and some wool sport yarn. The problem seems to be in the pattern. If you follow the directions exactly, the petals do not come out on the same side of the strip. I figured out that if you Purl your increases instead of Knit them, you can keep everything on one side. Unless the petals are supposed to twist back, but the info does not say to twist it in making up.
So I made a mental note of it and decided to move on!
BTW- this background is just a piece of paper taped to the lid of my scanner!

YAY for tiny needles  Grin
I have loads of #10 thread I just haven't got around to trying tiny flowers with it.

Do you think it would be a good idea to put a link in the first post of the thread to any post that has corrections/improvements so we can find them easily when we make that pattern?

I think that's a great idea. I can work on that tomorrow afternoon & Sunday. I think perhaps I'll make a list 1-100 and link any post that relates to a certain number.

I'm going to be away most of this week, but I'm taking my book on a road trip. I'm hoping to get a few flowers done!
I know we're all busy with other things; so I hope we can hang in there and get this going soon!
