Hi all!

Inspired by Leslieshappyheart post on her blog http://lesliesartandsew.blogspot.com/search/label/fabric%20hearts about the hearts she made, I decided to make all my colleagues a heart ornament. Instead of a Christmas card...

So here they are:

I left the edges "rough", I like it that way!
I have 25 colleagues, I sewed 30 hearts so everyone could chose a heart of their likings... It was a lot of fun sewing those and even more fun to give them all away! Everyone became so happy!

A photo of some of the hearts:

And the other hearts:

These were my favourites:

Thanks for looking! Questions, comments, critiques, all is welcome! Cheesy

OOOhhhh Wendie, you didn't tell me you were making hearts, I love them!! What a great idea to give these instead of a card! I like the way the hanging loop is to the side instead of centered. I love the blue one in the last picture too, because it has the same fabric as the pot holders you made me in the scrap happy swap! All your hearts are beautiful, and I love the variety of fabrics you used. Really great and inspiring!

I am LOVING all of these hearts everywhere! These are gorgeous. I love the rough edges too. ...You clearly care much more for your coworkers than I do. =p

These are so lovely wendiek!  I have enjoyed seeing your projects since I "met" you in the scrappy swap!

Your co-workers are probably pleased to have a crafty person at work!  Did you get to keep any at all for yourself? Cheesy

THANKS!! I just "need" an excuse to sit and sew, hahaha! Love my sewing machine!!

Alwaysinmyroom: I picked one out (it's not in the picture) to hang with all my Christmas decoration in front of my window! Just plain red heart with white stitches.

Well, Susan, maybe next year? But I knew for sure my colleagues (almost all women) would love those!

I am a teacher and I LOVE my work and I really enjoy working on the school and with my colleagues!

Again, thank you for your nice comments!  Cheesy

Nice hearts, wendiek!  My favorites are the first picture - the red/white check in the middle, and the third picture - all the green ones and the patchworky looking one in the upper left corner - you are a clever, giving girl!  Nice job.  Cheesy

Lovely!! What a nice gift for your co-workers, something they can keep forever instead of just tossing the card after the holiday is over. I'd have a hard time just taking one though  Cheesy!
