I made my first quilt in about 10 hours.  Most of that time was spent thinking...pulling out my hair .. and second guessing myself.  But I am very happy with the result.  I made it for my cousin's baby-to-be.  My cousin and her husband love exotic frogs and I'm sure their baby will too.  The pictures do not show the colors properly ,but you  get the idea.

That is really pretty!! I love the frogs, they are so adorable. The colors make it looks so cool and relaxing. Good job!

This is your first quilt? Wow. Looks nice and skilfully pieced, and I love the framing of the large frog print panels. The back is also very ambitious -- I couldn't imagine using anything but a solid, because everything shifts and stretches, but yours is so crisp! I can't wait to see your next one (and there MUST be a next one, because your freshman effort is freakin' fantastic).

Thanks everyone!  I used my scraps to make a pillow for my dog.  Now I just have to wait for someone else to have a baby so I can make another one.  It was a lot of fun to make.

Looks beautiful!  I love the framing of the froggy fabric as well.  Novelty fabric always looks so cute in baby quilts.   Grin

I agree.  A pieced back for your first time?  I am impressed.

Don't wait for a reason to make another one!  Sometimes the best quilting comes from no reason at all.  But if you do indeed need a reason, there is always Project Linus (http://www.projectlinus.org/), a great reason.

I love the frogs! My son does too, though he likes any kind of reptile! Great job!

I have that froggy fabric....I made sheets for my toddler girl and a duvet cover...=)  I love the heaviness of that fabric.

Good job on your quilt!
