I've been doing a lot of experiments lately for making needle felted necklaces. Eventually I will turn all this knowledge into a class. This is my latest experiment. It was a bit tricky to piece it all together, but I think it came out nicely.

Thanks!!!

The difficulty in piecing it together is the number of parts and the relatively small work surface (I work on a clover brush mat). I ended up laying the whole necklace out and arranging the parts on a piece of felt over some cardboard - used my needles to tack the pieces together enough to be able to carefully move them. To really secure them I used a combination of needle felting and some hidden sewing.

That's stunning, I'm in love. Another reason I need to learn to needle felt! I think this is the piece that pushed me over the edge! Thanks for posting, and I hope you enjoy wearing that beautiful work of art!

Thanks!!! =^..^=

I plan on getting started on another variation using these techniques today - not quite sure what it will be. I'll have to check and see if I have posted here the other experiments I have been doing lately.
