        I agree that your new clutch is totally awesome!  I made a knit bag similar to that except I did an intarsia design instead of a cable, black wooden round handles, and lined it with strawberry shortcake flannel.  I added an inside pocket to the lining. 
        I also need to carry bags on my arms because I like to use my hands.  So, I ended up giving it away.
        I noticed that the bag I made didn't have much give because all the stitches were attached to the handles.  I bet that you could make the opening bigger (you know, a sort of "gusset") by binding off a few stitches in between the handles.  What do you think of that?
