Willing to personal swap for art of my doggies!

OK, my group of friends and I have a get together every year and it often sometimes involves some silliness and fun - joke crafts and the like.  We have decided that next year it will be a celebration of the ugly sweater and I have an idea for my sweater, but I need to know how to set up a portable LED light desplay for it, and to set it up to play bad Christmas music.  I can be pretty handy, but I have not tried setting up wiring for lights or sound before, let alone a fabric craft.

I will probably find a second hand sweater or sweatshirt and decorate it - but where do I get the materials for the electrical component (I am presuming The Source may have it??, or there is a local surplus store that has components too) and more importantly - HOW?

I have a friend who could help me, but I want him to be surprised too - especially as I have an idea for a sweater for him too.

I'm chiming in kind of late here, Onyxnox but since you still have a few months of crafting time before xmas, I'm hoping I'm not too late Wink.

I did a hoop of an angler fish that had an LED light in it recently. I had some help from the Mr but it was really pretty easy. I got all of the supplies (light, wire, battery, switch) from Radio Shack and I think I spent around $8. They have lights of all different sizes and colors. I'm sure they could show you how it all fits together too. You basically just wire the light and the battery to the switch, make sure all the connections are clean and then flip it on!

The music part seems trickier. I'm not sure how you would do that?? I bet the people at RadioShack could help though.

I know your sweater is going to be AMAZING! Can't wait to see it!!

Thanks - I hope we still go through with the idea - some of the non-DIYers are pushing back - boo on them :/

If all else fails for the music, I can download Christmas music to my ipod and hook it up to mini speakers - but I was hoping for something like Raj's sweater from Big Bang Theory.
