Laneknees I love your set. If I ever gonna have an other I gonna start with thinner dreads I'm sure.... yet I'm ok (sometimes in love) w/ my current one, just hate the bald spots

Also MCRguitarMCR and Milkweed you rock...

So here is my set at 24 moths...

Sorry for the mess but I'm kinda moving....

ooohhh I love your dreads Viri!

I just started a 365 days self portrait thing on Flickr and I ended up with a cool pic of my dreads. They arent usually in my face like that, but it shows alot of them really well, which never happens in pics. if you click it, it will go to a bigger version

I have this blue hair dye that never worked cus my hair is red. So i tried dying a few dreads blond and it kinda worked to lighten it a little. So around 2am last night I dyed a dread blue. it took ages to wash out all the dye, and it made the dread come undone a little. So I backcombed it some more. Then i decided to fix a few dreads that were annoying me. since my hair is so curly, a few dreads were curled up and the end and got stuck that way and I didnt like them. So I brushed out the ends of some of my dreads and re did them. It helped a lot. I was up untill 5:30am though... haha

Haha the story is so familiar to me Smiley (actually with sewing not dreads).

Love your loops. I really miss them coming. They are not coming since the first few months....

AHHHH I'm so jealous of all of your dreads everybody. I'm at 7-8 months and mine are not nearly as awesome as you guys. And I cant blunt my ends very well. I need a good tip on how to blunt and dread up the inch of straight hair I have at the ends. Is using a sewing needle and a similar color to your hair the best way to do it? Viri your dreads are so beautiful! Did you use wax or anything? I don't have any recent pics but when I get a chance to take some pics I will definitely put them up.

Oh thank you. You could post some pics as well. I bet they are nice...

I haven't used any wax, just crochet them every now and then.

I've recently met a woman with amazing dreads, and she told me that her hair is/was as fine as mine pre-dreads, but nearly past her butt. Her dreads are about shoulder length - she said she "doubled it up" creating nice blunted ends, and rather fat dreads. It looked great, and the growth that she had was actually dreading fat like the rest...

soooo jealous.
I've been told that if I ever dread my hair again, my Mom will sneak into my house at night and shave my head... Sad

*hug* Yeah... I really wanna do dreads, and all sorts of people keep coming at me with opinions about my hair. xD I still fail to see why it's any of their business. I'm stalled until after Thanksgiving (my sister went into the hospital recently and my mother was in a really bad way, and actually said 'TT knows mommy can't take more than one 'crisis' at a time' to my little sister... xD So after Thanksgiving I've got some friends who will do it. I went to see a movie this past weekend and there were some people there with like AMAZING dreads and I REALLY REALLY REALLY was jealous (but they left before I could go talk to them, go figure).

Still. I'm waiting and ready. Heh.
