Yesterday I finished my fuzzy new baby dreadlings, today I found this thread.

Here is my crappy picture phone photo, it's the only one I have so far...

Yeah, can't see much but I'm sure they are cool, any time is the best for locks so I bet they will look even better Cheesy

My dreadies are just over 2 years old now. I've done a little timeline:

May 05: brand spankin' new!

August 05: 3 months old

April 06: almost a whole year old!

And taken just a couple of days ago, 2 years and 2 months old:

As you can see there's a lot of loose hair so I might get them tidied up soon. But I still love them Cheesy

Wait a minute, where's me jumper? On Ravelry of course.

So much dready goodness.. I haven't got the courage or patience to get dreads (plus I know I'd not want them forever, probably would be bored after a few months, and I can't bare the thought of having to get rid of them and have short hair), but I love them so much! Keep trying to convince others to get dreadies, but no one wants to  Roll Eyes

Yeah, I didn't have the patience either - that's why I stick to the fake ones! I get bored so easily.

Safetyfox your dreads are looking great! Cheesy

A good guideline for dread-length vs. natural hair length is appx. half...
of course, this isn't a hard and fast rule, but it usually works...when my hair was about an inch past my shoulders, my dreads were about an inch above my chin...
