When I first saw this Y Front Quilt: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=328792.0
I knew that I had to make it for a friend.  But.. I needed an excuse.  The 2011 Craft challenge on Facebook turned out to be that excuse.  I was so happy when he decided to be my 5th craft, I knew exactly what I was going to make him.

This was my first time paper piecing.  I love it.  Its like a puzzle and no need to cut exactly. 

After the first pair took 2 hours, my thoughts were "maybe he'll get a trivet" (IE only 1 lol).  If I do two... maybe placemats.... etc.  I wasn't sure if I had it in me to do the 12 I had in mind.  Took me a long time (lots of procrastination) but I'm happy to say its done!  I did cheat and paid to have it machine quilted.  I think its so epic, its worth it.
