I vote this as the most imaginative, resourceful and beautiful non-traditional Christmas tree ever!

Your persistence paid off...it looks wonderful!

Your "failed" blinds also look pretty cool...did you find that project on this site? Cheesy  I am interested in that one...

Agreed with always! I am wondering how to fashion a small tree because I haven't had the motivation and this has been so wonderful to inspire and motivate me. Thank you for sharing and providing the structural info.

Wow!! Shocked I am so in love with your tree, which btw you did an AMAZING job with! Grin
This is just so original, I think I'm feeling a bit of awe/jealousy. Wink
(I also hope you're healing from your break-up. I know personally how rough that can be. (HUGS!))

This is fantastic! It's so much more fun than a regular tree! Smiley

(I, too, broke up with a boyfriend of five years at the beginning of Dec. a few years ago. It was rough, but ended up being one of the best decisions I've ever made.  Smiley)

I came up with the magazine blind on my own after I made a folded paper shade for my porch door... I thought it was an original idea but after some googling I found that it had been done before.  I'd like to try it again sometime with better planning.  The weight of it worried me.  It was really heavy and I was afraid it would end up coming undone after hanging it up.

That is so cool! Definitely stealing this idea, especially with the blinds!
