My niece sent me a picture of a knit dress she had bought for her baby with a note to the effect of, "Wouldn't this look cute in candy cane stripes for Christmas?"  After searching around, I couldn't find a pattern that I liked, so I pretty much winged this one:

This is the first time I have done pleats and I am proud for figuring out how to make them on my own, since I was working the pattern from the top down, and all the instructions for pleating that I could find were from the bottom up.  Next time I will make the pleats deeper I think, but overall I am pleased at the results and can't wait to see my 1 year old great niece in this.  Smiley

I'm sure it will go down a storm, it's a lovely little dress.
