Ok, this is quite a tale...

I was looking into angeling for someone, and while I was waiting on the organizer to get back to me (someone else got the job, bummer), I started looking at what I could craft.  On the young lady's pinterest was a pic of this scarf and she LOOOOOVED it!  Well, looking at it, I realized that several kids at my house would love it too, and one of them is NOTORIOUSLY tough to shop for.

Sooo... I followed the pinterest links and found this pattern on ravelry

http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/justice-league-scarf

I'm a novice knitter at best, so I was intimidated, to say the least.  But I checked out some video tutorials on youtube, scrounged up some yarn and went to town.  I made a LOT of mistakes, especially on the Green Lantern panel 'cause it was my first one (thankfully, my son is pretty forgiving).

It's knitted in Fair Isle, and I adjusted the pattern somewhat so that when the scarf is around his neck, the logos on the ends will be right side up.  I also widened the scarf somewhat, thinking it would be too narrow for his taste otherwise, and I think if I were to do this again (I have another son clamoring for one as well), I would just stick with the width on the original pattern.

couldn't fit the whole length in one photo

I've been wanting to make my boyfriend a scarf for Xmas, and this would be perfect!! Cheesy
I'm not even a novice, but if you were able to do this good of a job, well then maybe I'll be able to do one too. Undecided
Thanks for the inspiration!

I bookmarked this pattern off of ravelry too and now I believe you have inspired me to finally cast on for it.
