Hey, that's great!  I tried to make something very similar for my brushes many years ago, ah, but I only had a glue gun then...LOL didn't come out too neat. Shocked

Wow, this is great!  My mom was just saying that she wants something like this for her paint brushes!  Hmmm, I smell Christmas presents!!!!

And hoping for an early death you swam so far you lost your breath, and struggling in the ebb and flow I took your hand, but you let go...
And now the ocean fills your lungs, and now you've got what you had come for, resting peaceful as you sink to drown under a sea of strangers.

Beautiful! It looks incredibly easy to make, too. I could use this for so many things!

If only there were a tutorial. Sigh. Woe is me. Sigh again.  Wink

I think I'm going to try to make this out of plain muslin and canvas, with a thin suede strip to tie it. I have to try this - I can't stop thinking about it!

Mwah! Thanks for the tutorial! I'm off to make one right this minute. I wish I had a digital camera.

Update: Oooh this looks so good! I'm at the part where you sew the grooves to put the pencils in, and I have a dumb question. What should I use to mark straight lines? Or did you just follow along with the sewing foot guideline? I would hate to mess up at this point!

Update again: I ended up just following the seamline, and I'm done. It's so pretty! I'm going to have to find some great pencils to put in it, and give some of these away for Christmas, to lucky people on my list. Thanks again for the tute!
