I recently got an ibook as a graduation gift and I'm travelling soon and wanted to take my new baby with me. However, I despise "breifcases" and want it to fit into my carry on. So I made a protective case for it. It's got foam in it for a little extra padding to keep it safe.

I still have a little work to do to clean up the inside, but you get the idea

I was considering making one with handles, but this one doesn't have them. It's just to protect it inside my bag when I travel.

Eee, it's lovely!  When you have to take your laptop out separately at the airport security, I bet everyone will go "oooh, ahhh".

Seriously, it looks SUPER professional!  the kind of thing you buy at expensive hipster boutiques. Smiley

How cute!! I've been thinking of making one for my powerbook... what kind of foam did you use for the padding if I might ask?

Cute work!!

I just found some foam in this Jo-anns that is tiny and has nothing. I wanted thinner foam, but that was all they had. It's like a 1/2 inch thickish. It worked out really well though. I don't know the exact name of the foam though, sorry.

that's beautiful, I just invested in the same computer and before I even set it up I  decided it needed a cute case to be safe in. Yours looks great

Please do!  I've been looking for a laptop case for ages, but I haven't been able to find one I really appreciate. I guess I've become some sort of macintosh hipster snob.  Crumbs.

Then he asked,"Lord, what about when there was one set of footprints on one side and also a straight line with bootprints on one side and small round circles on the other?" The Lord replied, "Those were when I carried you, and we were joined by a pirate pushing a wheelbarrow."

Try to line the inside where the zipper is. The white acrylic scratches SOooooo easily. I have one of those computers as well.
