I think a strip of wallpaper behind the bed would be great. I also think you could choose a neutral that is a little heavier to give some contrast to all the beige and white.

you could decorate a little with some subtle hints to the beach - some shells on the night stand (glued down if you are afraid of earth quakes Tongue)

I don't know if its something you would consider, but bringing in some drift wood furniture (tables, a bench...) might make the beach feel appear without hanging stuff : )

...but I really think its the contrast that is missing. personally I have white walls and black trim all around - it sounds crazy but its actually quite neutral looking while providing contrast : )

Beach + Bedroom = Aloha. Flowers, flowers and flowers everywhere. Put color in your life. That's all. Colors energize the body and the soul so try it.

Oh, you've such beautiful home, but sorry to say it's wall seems colorless.

Why don't you paint it in vibrant color, give it funky look to your wall. Brighter green / blue in sponge effect will go great.

You can paint the walls blue or bright sunny yellow to give it a brighter shade as opposed to the all grey color scheme. It would add some color to the room as well.
