Been living in this rental for a year now, and the carpet is finally getting to me. The floor is uneven (reason for carpet I guess?) It's cheap indoor outdoor carpet. There is no ventilation in this bathroom, the window doesn't open, so it can get damp in there (worse for the carpet!) I'm terrified that this carpet is going to get ruined, and a bath mat isn't helping collect overspray from a clawfoot tub. Any suggestions for something durable, removable, and inexpensive so I can cover the carpet?

look for sheet vinyl; bathrooms are small, you may find a remnant.
You can either cut it to fit over the entire carpet, or do it more like an area rug.
