I found this sheet while searching thrift stores for interesting raw material.


As soon as I saw it I knew it would be perfect for a sundress.  It's my first attempt at making something without a pattern and I think for a first attempt I did okay.  I'm happy with the results anyways.  Grin

how did u do the scrunching in the midddllleee? i really wanna do that with a t-shirt/dress--my plan was to sew a long rectangle of fabric in the middle, put a tie through it, and have holes coming out of the end of fabric to tie it? is that sort of like what you did?

I love the fabric and the dress, they are tres chic for a first try! (I would now by comparison-- I had to trash several attempts at sewing dresses..  Embarrassed ) But might I make a candid suggestion? I think it would look nice over jeans, worn like a tunic, cause it isn't the most flattering shape by itself.  Undecided

how did u do the scrunching in the midddllleee?

I attached elastic to the inside.  I measured the elastic around to get the right size to make it fit close and then stretched it as i sewed to make it fit the length around the fabric.
