Our puppy turned 1 last month, and I'm afraid to say we had a birthday party for her!  If you look at her cute wee face you'll see why Smiley

Anyway, I was in charge of the 'people' cake, so with it being Bella's 1st birthday and her being an excellent agility dog, I made a cake which was meant to reflect this!

It's a vanilla sponge filled with raspberry jam and vanilla buttercream.  The puppy was made from sugarpaste and then painted to resemble Bella.  It met with a sad end about a week later when Bella stole it off of the kitchen worktop and ate the whole thing! (The puppy, not the cake)

That is lovely. Very pretty cake. We celebrate pets birthdays as well, nothing strange there.  Grin
So what was doggie's present?

Oh she got lots of things!  I made up a full grooming kit for her (as a long haired dog her coat takes a lot of care), plus she got lots of squeaky toys, and treat bones.  We got a 'puzzle' ball as well, that dispenses treats when she rolls it correctly.

There was also a doggy cake made with peanut butter and honey, which Bella and her little friends demolished in no time flat!
