I was thinking that with all the trickiness and fiddliness we put into most swaps, a swap with straightforward "easy" crafts might be welcome and fun! I was thinking things to swap would be something like a garter-stitch scarf made with cuddly yarn, a very simple stuffed animal, a granny square lapghan, or simple earrings.
The idea would be to make items that were easy to make, but nice.
Does that idea appeal to anyone? Anyone have ideas of examples of other crafts that would count in this category?
I'd start the sign-ups after Christmas, so a lot of people would have more free time. Probably a 3pt swap.

As someone new to swapping and being a bit intimidated by the crazy awesome skills I see displayed in the galleries, I'd welcome a swap like this!

I'm in.  I know how to make stuffed animals, and can sew scarves and blankets, and I know how to make jewelry.

I like this idea. I might join if I've got an open spot. Would love to knit a fun hat for somebody, maybe.

I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

I don't know if it would necessarily be a one-point swap. I mean, while knitting a hat or crocheting a lapghan might be an easy craft for me, it actually takes quite a bit longer than a one-point item should take. Then again, maybe she was describing a one-point swap... In which case, just ignore me. Smiley

No, she actually says "3 point swap". Simple doesn't mean the same as small. . .
