I haven't organized my floss yet, but I am using up some of it on two projects right now: A very late Christmas present of a cartoon stegosaurus and I'm filling a Professor Layton logo entirely in french knots. Here's what I've done so far on the Professor Layton logo:

French knots? Seriously? It took me forever to learn how to do them, and even so I avoid them if I can. You, madam, are a goddess!

I used to be scared of french knots too. But I kept seeing the fun hoops made of french knots that other people made that I just had to try to learn how to make them. I learned from Katxena's tutorial here on Craftster. After a couple of practice knots, I got the hang of it. Even so, I know my logo isn't going to be done anytime soon.Tongue

I actually really love doing french knots! Maybe because they are really easy to do. I just keep stabbing myself when I make them XD

I went Thrifting today. I just added to my Persian Wool Embroidery Yarn stash ! I can't get enough of it! I can't resist an out-moded stitchery kit full of beautiful wool yarn! And it has to be the 3-ply kind.
Plus, there were lot's of New rolls of Aida cloth, about 8 of them. I only let myself buy the two best with the smallest gauges; for the fact that I just wanted to control the spending. It would have been easy to buy up a lot of excess supplies today, but I did have some self control.
I am using some of the wool in my knitted flowers and leaves, but I do have a book of Bargello style patterns to try out SOMEDAY!  I'm into projects that can get finished in a reasonable amount of time. There is a plastic canvas purse form I might use some of the wool on. Like I Said- SOMEDAY (Soon)
Lot's of praise to those of you working on very detailed projects... Like Amalgam with All Those French Knots!
