Nice embroidery - I like it without the 'extra' faces. 2.5" strips seem to work really well with a 1" hexagon. I do a lot of those because I have the punch and I am much too lazy to cut out paper pieces any other way.

I am waiting until the updated Silhouette software gets a couple of kinks worked out (I got 2 errors when I tried to open it), and then I will finally get started!

And now, I can't decide about the faces... I think I like the idea of faces on things with faces...

Nice, lindy!  I had to abandon my strips because of they were too small as well! I am going to use the roll I bought to just make random little hexies like Averia recommended.

nope..too big...they barely fit on the 2.5 inch ones!

I finally found some nice pink blush and some sky blue solids that I will be using to connect my hexies together!  I ordered online, so I hope the colors are true!

I was thinking of puffing out the middles of the embroidered pieces a bit with additional batting...has anyone tried that?

I found a site with 1.5 inch hexies and so far all the designs fit inside and I can use my jelly roll fabrics.  The wheelbarrow is going to be a tight fit but will work.

I also found this tutorial for making hexies without paper...

Lindy--that is good news!  I am interested to see how they look as I tried using a smaller hexie and just could not get my embroidered pieces to fit without folding over some of the designs.  I still want to use my jellyroll! Grin

Oh--thanks for the tutorial!  I made my sister cut out tons of cardboard templates for me when she was visiting! Grin

Lindy - You could always shrink the patterns down a little to make them fit. Just print them at less than 100%.
