I am hoping that I can get some help with this bag.

This bag is something that my 7 yr old son designed(with some help) and then made(again with some help).   He wanted to make something for his sister for Christmas and chose to make her a bag to use to carry her ferret along.   This was his design for the most part and he did most of the work...cutting and sewing included.  The outside butterflies are a huge pocket all the way around for holding stuff for her ferret.

Now that you know a bit about the how and the why...here's the what.   Please help me let him know how he did.   He says that I am his Mom and supposed to love it.   Please help me by letting him know how he did.

Thank you so very much for this.

He did phenomenally!! I'm 42 and cannot manage my way around a straight line on a machine. The things I create are from a pattern. He patterned cut and sewed the entire thing! Color me impressed!!

This bag appears well-designed and nicely sewn. The fabric choices are beautiful. Your son has done a phenomenal job. Well done!

Do you really mean SEVEN YEARS OLD?  Shocked  This little guy has a bright future ahead -the bag is beautiful and I think it is sewn perfectly!  I know what I am talking about when I say, HE DID A WONDERFUL JOB!  I have been sewing for 45 years.  Get this young man in a sewing class where he can learn even more.  Check out your local sewing shops and stores for classes.  I just cannot get over that he is only 7!  GREAT JOB!!!  Cheesy

He did excellently!  The colors all go together nicely.  I love the shape of the bag, and the outside pocket is a great idea.  And how thoughtful he is to think up something like this for his sister Grin

I personally think he is AWESOME for thinking so much of his sister that he went to all that trouble to make something for her.  I also think that he is a VERY talented sewer for his age, I am almost 39 years old and wouldn't have an IDEA on how to start making a lovely bag like that...even with help!  Great job!
