For a recent costume night I went as a Pan Am stewardess and made myself a hat and skirt as a fairly quick sewing project.

The skirt has one big pocket in the front which is a nice feature and is from a Burda Style magazine, pattern 122, issue 8/11.  It also has a kick pleat at the back a centre back zip.

For the hat I used the tutorial found here - www.instructables.com/id/Pan-Am-Costume/

I love the piping on the hat, it looks so tidy. (oops, a bit of welshness slipping in there, of course I mean neat.)

Thanks!  I don't mind a bit of Welshness!  I live in Wales!
