Hi guys

I'm planning on doing a scrub of some sort in jars for the girls of my family (aunties/female cousins) but not sure that this would work for the boys! Anyone have ideas for a batch-type pressie? How long would a jar of cookies last (freshness-wise not time to get eaten!) if they were in airtight rubber seal jars?

thanks!
Mel

Looking for teal/turquoise/aqua, grey and white (or a combo) fabric for a quilt.

I made 3D big breasted gingerbread girls for the guys in my group of friends one year - gingerbread is one cookie that is forgiving of time, and I think I made them a week or two in advance.  A vacuum sealer helps preserve freshness.

Other things could be:

spiced nuts, peppermint bark, almond bark, almond roca (I can link you to a recipe if you want, it is something I often make for friends), peanut brittle, flavoured vodkas, lemoncello, or spice rubs for those who like to cook.  If you had more time, I would also suggest things like a savoury jelly, like pepper jelly, or BBQ sauce.

For non food items - what about making personalized mugs or etched glasses, or heating packs for aches and sores using bran, rice, or some other seeds for filling, or making pairs of small ones for pocket warmers.  Keychains or bookmarks?
