Birdbones does lovely stuffie purses an she has done cushions and book covers, too! And suereal made a bear box for the raffle swap. Two love ladies great at making functional stuffies! I love te idea of a stuffed animal box in which you could keep things.

To all past swap partners....If something I made you fell apart in some way, it would be helpful to me if you PMed me and told me about it.  Sometimes, I try new things, and if they fail, it helps me to know

It could be a jewelry box size. Oooo, it would be so cute to have a stuffie, like a moose or reindeer on which you could hang earrings, rings or bracelets off! Oh the ideas!!!

Awww, jillybeans, you are so sweet! Being faced with a lack of ideas for family-gifts, I'd much rather make a practical stuffie right now Grin Like the usboctopus suereal made....  Grin Grin Grin And really, anything is better when it gets turned into a stuffie. But suereal is right- size is quite a complication- maybe we could have dimensions that got a little beyond the 5"-mark?
PLEASE?  Grin

I do think some folks would use a worry doll, which means it is functional to some....but the key is some.  If your partner might not be into that, then it looses it's function Grin...is how I'd think of it.....

I couldn't have said it better myself!!  Cheesy

I was thinking about upping the size on these little critters too... I still think they should be relatively small, maybe we'll say under 8 inches or so? (That's 20.3 cm to all of you outside the States  Cheesy) Of course I will be STRICTLY enforcing this rule, any non followers will be reported immediately to the mods.  Wink

Glad to see everyone is brainstorming stuffies!! This is gonna be fun!! (and it looks like I'll have a rowdy bunch of crafters for my first time organizing! Grin)

It sounds like fun!

My brains go wild: purse, wallet, ornament, keyring, neck warmer, tissue box cover, coasters, pot holders, draft roll, book cover, scarf, gloves, .... Something like that???  Grin

Well, some of them might become too big, but you get the idea!

Those sound like great ideas, wendiek!

I love the idea of a tissue box cover... I'm envisioning tissues coming out of the stuffies mouth or nose!!

Hmm... still a couple of weeks before christmas.... I think my family will be getting prototypes of functional stuffies!

Hahaha, I didn't even think about how it would look, but now I envision that too!! I like the mouth idea, preferably with teeth  Grin or a long tongue!

If you make prototypes, do share!

BTW I am interested, just to be clear  Wink.
