I think I love knitting socks. =) This is my second pair for my daughter... I like these much better than the first pair. Though, the first pair I learned a TON while making.

The pattern is called "Toe the Line" from Learn to Knit Socks by Edie Eckman. I shortened the cuff, because my girl is so tiny.

I like this yarn much better, for one. And got way more comfortable using DPNs.

And I learned a nicer way to pick up stitches than I was taught (I think I was taught wrong!).

And I tried the kitchener stitch for the first time. Very neat finish for the toe.

wow, these are cool. I've been learning using the knitty tutorials, information and mini sock. I've made two mini socks and have started on a simple adult size one. one day I hope to be able to pattern socks too lol.

It - www.knitty.com - is an online knitting magazine. A free online resource.

Knitty has wonderful patterns (not just socks) and articles on techniques, etc. There is a spinning section started up in the past few years for people who spin and/or knit.

Check out the knitty archives.
