I've been art journaling for a number of years now but it's always been in premade or bought journals. I've wanted to learn how to bind my own but didn't even try until now. This is my first attempt and I'm pretty proud of it, too.
Here is the front with a journal page from Teesha Moore, adhered decoupage style:

And here is the binding:

The signatures, there are five, are #140 Fabriano hot press watercolor paper, my favorite to art journal on. It's silky smooth, holds up to a tremendous amount of water, paint, glue and anything else I dice to throw at it, and thick enough to be sturdy without being bulky.

I had a great time making this and am planning to make lots more.

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL cover! Great choice.

I love how the bound journal looks and I know I need to make one for my own use. Probably holds itself open better than most of the cheaper books, without being wire bound.
