Hi everyone!

I wanted to share a couple of kitties I made for the awesome susanab in the tiny stuffy swap.

I rescued several sturdy cardboard looms that were destined for the trash at school. I knew that as soon as I saw them I wanted to use them for this swap. I watched a few youtube videos on cardboard weaving and made this little piece of fabric for kitty's body:

I sewed it into a tube and used that as the body, then attached the rest of his kitty parts.

WELL.... he never made it to my swap partner. We don't know what happened... DC# said the package had been delivered but she never received it. I was so heartbroken! Having a swap package lost was really awful  Angry.

I didn't ask for an angel, because a little voice in my head was telling me that susanab NEEDED THAT SCRAPPY CAT!! Plus, as you swappers know, when your partner gets the package that you made for them and they like it, it feels so awesome!! I didn't want to rob myself of that!! So kitty number 2 was made:

Kitty #2 is a good hunter. He brought a gift with him:

Pleased to announce that package 2 made it to its destination. I'm pretty sure he's well loved  Grin.

Thanks for checking out my post!!

This is wonderful. I have hesitated to make any small woven squares, not knowing what I would do with them. Small objects, what a great idea! I love eclectic holiday tree ornaments Smiley.

Thanks for the compliments  Smiley! Weaving the little swatch was a lot of fun... a great way to use up pretty scraps of fabric, lace, yarn and pretty much whatever else you can find!
