My first *finished* knitting projects.

I found some gorgeous 50% mohair 50% acrylic wool on sale, its lovely, I adore it. Cheesy I thought it make a nice shawl, and it did!

The pattern I used was really simple, and elegant. I used this one: http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/basic-triangle-shawl

I also made a shrug/cropped jumper thing. I really like it and have got a few compliments on it.

The sleeves look a bit a funny, but I assure you that's only because there a no arms in them. Tongue

I was really unsure about how the yarn would look once knit up, but I really like how it turned out, its so soft. It's 70% wool 30% acrylic.

I'm a new knitter, so any feedback is much appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Although I am not sure how good that "shrug/cropped jumper thing" would look on me, I am quite fascinated by it,
I have looked all through your blog in hopes of finding a pattern for it - and, in hopes of actually seeing it in the act of being created and getting/or getting more information

Did you just "wing it" - in which case, do you have any notes?
Or, where can I look for the pattern?

Thank you, Janey
P.S. The shawl is nice, but it doesn't make me want to pick up my needles the way the "shrug/cropped jumper" does.

Alas, I have been neglecting my blog of late, so you wont find it there.  I took this http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/kelly-2 pattern and just stopped knitting at a shorter length. I also put a half treble crochet (double crochet) border around the bottom, because of the stockinette curl.
