After completing my first semester at TAFE I finally have my photo morph completed. This began with various images of clockwork and mechanics, a naked art model, fabric and my own Illustrator icon for the background. All together, with many many hours of editing, masking, airbrushing, adjusting and painting it became 'My Clockwork Heart'.

The idea was to make an android, but steampunk is far more interesting to me than Terminators Cheesy

And just so you know, cutting off her leg and adding a peg leg really quite creeped me out, lol.

Comments and critique are always welcome, thanks for looking.

Thanks so much, I'm really super proud of it. I'll do another one but you're right, they do take ages!

That is one seriously good piece of work. I'd hang it on the wall here!
You morphed just enough, not too much, not too little.  Ever since 7of9, I've been in love with the Borg. Well, that and the Borg queen, just one of the most beautiful creatures you've ever seen.

If ever you go on the market, I'd buy that pic of you and frame it to pride of place here.
next to the twee fairie house and embroided bunny, seriously!

Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without.

The perfect combination of hard and soft.  I'll take steampunk over terminator any day. Great work!!

This is awesome!  Great job on the shadows and lighting.  Sometimes that's the hardest part to get right, without that realism goes out the window.  The only thing I would play around with is the background, it looks great but I wonder what it would look like if it were a little more faded/darker so that the girl stands out more?

Thanks all!

chapstickninja, the background would have been different but since this was an assessment piece we had to include an Illustrator icon on a background texture. Originally I did have it darker but the icon was very hard to see so I had to change it Sad Thanks for your suggestion!

Thank you smallhold, I'd love to make more but it would take a mighty big photoshoot to film all the elements!

I agree Artmomto5! Steampunk rocks Smiley
