As you can see from my signature, I've been busy.  And under a bit of emotional stress.  I made that signature so that people I was swapping with *before* the diagnosis knew I didn't just flake out or drop off the earth.  I completed all my swaps, but without the usual thread chatter. One of them was the Jar of Hearts swap.

Last night was my second EMT practical final and it was exceptionally difficult.  I didn't get home til 10pm and knew the following day (today) was going to be a long one - 6hrs of chemo.  I was heating up a hot dog so I could eat & drug myself into a sound sleep when I saw a large, unopened envelope addressed to me.  Since I could tell it wasn't a hospital bill, I was excited.  I didn't recognize the return address... I didn't think I knew anyone from that state even....

When I opened it a bunch of brightly colored fabric hearts tumbled out.  There was also a letter from LesliesHappyHeart who explained that she saw a comment I made about a heart someone in the swap got & it prompted her to do something nice for me.  She and I had messaged briefly about my husband and she gave me some very good very personal advice, but I have never met Leslie & other than a swap or two, we haven't even really been what I think of as internet friends.  Just another nice person from a craftster swap.  She organized some other fantastic craftster friends who contributed their time & skill to sending me a whole bag full of hearts of "hope".  Before I even really looked at the hearts I was crying.  I am so deeply touched by the generosity & kindness of total strangers who went out of their way to make another stranger's day a little better.  You guys will never know what this meant to me and how much I appreciate it.  I love you guys.

Here is Leslie's blog where she did her scheeming <3 also where I stole the following beautiful photos from.  http://www.lesliesartandsew.blogspot.com/2011/11/mailing-hope-hearts.html

They are all gorgeous but the kindness is what I appreciate most.  I have a special place for them and I will post a pic once I get them there. I can't thank you guys enough.

What an incredibly wonderful thing for them to have done. All of the hearts are beautiful, expecially so because they are filled with so much love and hope for you and your hubby. I hope his treatment goes well.
