I made this Wonky Donkey pair for my granddaughter for Christmas. I call them Wonky because of their eyes.  They are crocheted with Mr.Potato Head facial embellishments. Can't you feel the love between them?!

I hope you enjoy them as much as I did making them.

They were based on the pony pattern I found here:  http://members.optusnet.com.au/we2/perfectpony.html

Using the Mr.Potato Head pieces was inspired. I love the Wonky Donkeys!
(Showing my age here-when I was little, Mr. Potato Head was just sold as a set of pieces. You had to supply your own real potato to stick them in.)
Anyway, I bet your granddaughter will love them.

Thanks for your kind words.  I LOVE to use plastic facial pieces in my crochet toy making. It's the face that makes the toy, and nothing is quite as expressive as Mr. Potato Head!
