Resuable gift wrap!

I've been experimenting with various ways to do this, and I discovered that the best way is also the easiest!  It's just a rectangle of fabric hemmed all around with ribbon ties on two sides.  My husband and I primarily give each other books and DVDs, so that's the size I made, but they can be any size you want.

Here's how I wrap a movie with it:
Center the box with the long sides pointing to the sides with the ribbon.

Fold up sides.

Fold corners to points.

Cross the ribbons.

Flip over and tie on the top, and you're done!

Nice and it seems that fabric comes in better colors and designs too.
However if I did it you you'd catch me with glitter, puffy paint, and gold and silver markers decorating the fabric if it was not sparkly enough for me. I love this idea I have extended family members who request that I save all my bows and give to them for re-use well I saved them but I ended up re-using them. Left over paper my kids and I make snowflakes with and put the white sides to the window. I also have a closet full of store boxes and bunches of gift bags because my MotherIL does not like to wrap. I think I might make her some of these.

Love this idea. I have pieces of soft deerskin that are too small for clothing or bags; now I can use them!

That's an awesome idea!  I hate the wastefulness of wrapping paper.  I'll definitely be making some of these!
