I finally completed this angel and am so happy with it. She's a counted cross stitch piece from a pattern by Marilyn Leavitt-Imblum. She's stitched on linen using DMC stranded cotton and Mill Hill seed beads.

I found the wonderful frame at a car boot sale. I can't wait to hang her up.

I'm so pleased with the final product, but I doubt I'll ever get all those lost seed beads out of the sofa!

All parts of this angel are beautiful- I love the halo, wings, and dress.  Great job and you picked the perfect frame - even the frame is angelic!!  Smiley

She's absolutely stunning!

My favorite part, though, is the fact that if you look at her dress the right way, it looks like an owl.  There's something about the solemnity of that image together with her serenity...I know it's completely unintentional, but I think it makes it a little bit more special.

That is a stunning piece of work!  I love how her cape looks like it's 3 dimensional and the bead work!!

The detail on this...and on linen...totally astounding.  It really turned out beautifully, I can't imagine the hours you must have spent stitching and beading.  It's a lovely image, I've never seen an angel like that before.

I'm pinning it on my "Embroidery Inspiration" pinterest board!
