I got my package from tabarhodes today from the post office where they were holding it for me.  I got lots of cool stuff including humingbird cards, a bird design embroidery kit, and vintage bird cards. I took a picture of her neat handmade things which were greeting cards, a silk painting, bird and chicken magnet (I needed more magnets for my fridge!), and a cute crocheted (I think) bird stuffy.

The crocheted bird has personality, so I had to give him his own picture.

Thanks tabarhodes!

Yesterday I was staying in bed because I had a migraine. Which then made me feel guilty because I couldn't let my dog out to play with the neighbor dog. But when my boyfriend got home he brought me a package from hercuteness! Hooray! My day was so much better after that (& so was the dog's! Cheesy)!!

Here are the lovely goodies I received!

Some really cute owl cards that I needed so badly! I was just thinking the other day about making/buying some cards!

A pair of owl earrings. My favorite colors!

A hand painted owl purse that I adore! I don't have a gold bag so this is perfecto!

Two small paintings. One is a little white dandylion with small black birds flying around & the other is an owl on a branch in front of the moon. I have lots & lots of art around the house so we're trying to find a good place for these. It's a little tough!

A bird themed CD. Belle & Sebastian, Cyndi Lauper & Christopher Walken! Does it get any better than that?!

Thank you so much hercuteness! I wish you were my partner in every swap!

olive+orange.  I'm so glad you liked everything!  I actually cut one or two things because I had so many ideas.  I think you got the best of it, though.

kat.  Yes I did make the owl earrings myself.  Shrinky Dinks made from an original design I hammered out on good old Microsoft Word (shapes are fun).  And darn if one didn't turn out smaller than the other.

It was the first time I have ever made jewelry and I must take my hat off to anyone who does it frequently.  I realized that those little suckers take some time and patience. . .and I'm a knitter!

Hooray for birdies!
