I knit my first toy tonight! It was so easy, too, and literally took only a few hours. I'm pretty pleased with the outcome and can't wait to have my first quidditch match with my sister in law when she comes to visit again.
I know many people make these, but I've come a long way with knitting and it's things like this that make me excited lol.

Pattern here: http://knittedtoybox.blogspot.com/2008/07/golden-snitch.html

Thanks for looking and letting me share!

Love it! I'm still too nervous about my knitting to try something like this.

And really, try it! That pattern is SUPER easy to follow. And what's the worst that could happen? All I've made so far has been beanies (with a seam up the back >.<), fingerless gloves, and blocks. Nothing amazing at all. Seriously, give it a shot! Worst case scenario, you rip it all apart and forget about it. Wink

Great job! I think it's hard to knit a perfect circle but you nailed it.

I love knitting toys. They make for such fun little projects.

Wow! Awesome job!

And thanks for sharing the link to the pattern, too! One of my 12-year-old daughters told me last night that she would love a Harry Potter themed Christmas stocking this year, and one of these would make such a great stuffer.

Thanks! It definitely has me wanting to knit some more. I tried having an impromptu quidditch game with my son, who is only 15 months old, and it didn't work well. He snatched the snitch from me and ran lol. He's going to be a future seeker, my boy.

And no problem! I thin a HP themed stocking is amazzzzzing lol. My SIL wants a Hogwarts letter for her birthday in January, and I'm pretty sure she'll have one of these with it.

Hmmmm, that's pretty much the same level I'm at with my knitting so maybe I will give it a shot. I think I might even have some gold yarn left over from the last gryffendor scarf I made.
